Algerian Village Proud of Boy Who Won Nat’l Quran Award

TEHRAN (IQNA) – People in the village of Al-A’aija in Algeria warmly welcomed Faisal Hajjaj, a resident of the village who came first in a national Quran contest for children.

The villagers said they are proud of Faisal and his great accomplishment, Ennahar Online reported.

Faisal told the news website that he is thankful to God for helping him win the prize.

He also appreciated the efforts of his Quran teachers and those who contributed to his success.

Faisal especially thanked his parents who prepared the grounds and supported and encouraged him to learn the Quran by heart.

The competition was recently held with the participation of children and teenagers from different parts of the country.

Algeria is an Arab country in North Africa. Muslims make up about ninety-nine percent of its population.
